Guerlain Purfume,
A set of 12 limited edition fragrance boxes for Guerlain Paris, Louis Vuitton Moet Hennessy.
The work began with a successful competitive pitch after being selected to participate in a graduate scheme with Central Saint Martins, aimed at pairing graduates with clients.
brief: to create a set of package designs that would remind the customer of the magic of giving and represent each individual fragrance. The initial successful pitch included a pattern based on the honeycomb visual intrinsic to Guerlain, including the bee logo nestled amongst the patterns. A pencil with the colours specific to each fragrance would be included in each set and the user would be encouraged to colour the surface pattern themselves, personalising the gift as well as creating a meditative childlike experience. The customers would be encouraged to share their designs via a hashtag on social media and the interactive pattern would also be implemented through window and in-store displays.
After working closely with the Guerlain team in Paris over several months, a set of custom designs were selected to be printed due to limitations in the manufacturing process.
